Jennifer Stoots received her M.S. in the History of Art and Design from Pratt Institute (2013) and her B.A in Art History from the University of Oregon (1994). Her academic writings focus on the cultural mythologies that surround the photographic image, whether it pertains to a photographer’s legacy or a kind of cultural mythology that stems from a photograph or photographic genre. Articles and blog posts focus more on contemporary and relevant issues that affect both collector and artist, including IRS rules and historical precedents.
